When I was in Kindergarten we were given a picture of a dog to color in. The teacher stressed we had to color in between the lines. I colored everything but the dog, saying the edge of the paper was a line, and I colored between it and the lines of the dog. Thus started my scholastic career. I’m sure more than a few of my teachers went home and complained and/or laughed with their families about my interpretation of the rules and their directions.
A very good friend in high school said, “You don’t think outside the box. You blow the thing up.” Sometimes boxes need exploding. That’s what I’m here for. I have a whole bag of C4 and I’m not afraid to use it. I am blessed with people who treasure my eccentricities or at least put up with them. |
